By far our favourite thing to do while staying at the villas is to sit on the verandah for hours (all 3 villas have wonderfully large verandahs!), gaze out over panoramic sea views, and listen to a tropical cacophony of bird song and insects. This is a place to unwind and slow down.
If you do want a change, however, there are many other ways to spend your days while you are here.
Hire a fishing boat out to one of the many outlying secret Gili Islands to snorkel over the beautiful, unspoilt coral and absorb the abundant, colourful sea life for hours. Enjoy a picnic lunch on a desert island or visit one of the restaurants on Gili Layar or Gili Asahan.
Take a day trip by car to the pottery-making village at Banyamulek, the textile weaving centre at Sukarara Village, the “old” Dutch colonial quarter in Ampenan, the daily fresh fruit, vegetable, and meat/fish market in Cakra and carry on up north to Senggigi to browse around the many gift shops, cafes, and restaurants there.
If you prefer to go shopping, there’s the new Epicentrum Mall in Mataram. They have lots of restaurants there, too.
If you like visiting jungles and waterfalls, ask to be taken to Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep or the Monkey Forest.
The villas are about 10 kilometers from the world-renowned surf beach at Bangko Bangko/Desert Point.
Why not plan a day trip to Mekaki Beach? Then carry on down south to Kuta Lombok where there are many stunning sights and breathtaking views to enjoy.
Local boat trips and excursions can be easily arranged.
